Back when I was a newbie Loser, I spent hours upon hours scouring the internet for some small glimpse into what post-WLS life was like.
Like many of you, I had a hunger for what might could happen, what the odds were of success, and what exactly success might look like.
I didn’t want more hospital advertisements. I didn’t want anything sugar-coated to drum up more surgeries.
I wanted to find real-life stories. The good. The bad. The super, duper ugly.
I wanted a support group, a place to find the information I was so desperately seeking. I wanted friends that understood what I was going through.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find it.
So, I decided to build it. Let me explain the what’s, why’s and how’s right now.

Along my journey I did find a group of people on YouTube that served as my initial support group. Those first-hand accounts of what went good and what went not-so-good were invaluable and I’ll forever be grateful for their support.
However, over time we all fell away from that. Life happened, as it always does.
My story continued on as one of complications and struggles, both surgery related and not surgery related. Life took away my ability to share my story and robbed me from my place of support.
As such, I know what it’s like to travel this road without anyone who knows exactly what you’re going through.
I don’t want that for you. Traveling this road blindly is difficult and scary. So, I’ve created this site and I’ve begun documenting my journey again via YouTube. Let me be the resource for you that I didn’t have.
